Coupons were a convenient way for arcades to pay off players, who had to accumulate a given number of coupons in order to acquire a prize.
The Sports Center was one of the first arcades to adopt the coupon system for awarding prizes. Winning players were awarded a coupon rather than a prize. The coupons could be accumulated and collectively redeemed for a prize. The system is still used at many of the resort’s arcades, including the Fascination parlor.
