Herbert was a tame pigeon who spent his time looking for popcorn under the bingo tables at Snell’s Midway.
In late August 1947, Herbert was hit by a car and killed.
George Konold, owner of the Midway, made sure the pigeon received a fitting burial, according to The Beachcomber of Aug. 25, 1947.
